Compliance Hotline Help

  1. Any person may submit a complaint with respect to compliance with reliability standards by calling or writing to the compliance staff at the telephone number and address provided below. The compliance staff will informally seek
    information from the caller and any respondent, as appropriate. The compliance staff may refer the matter for further investigation by NERC or the appropriate Regional Entity.

  2. All information and documents obtained through the compliance staff shall be rated as confidential, consistent with the provisions of the NERC Rules of Procedure, Section 1500.

  3. Calls to the compliance staff may be made anonymously.

  4. Any person who contacts the hotline is not precluded from filing a formal action with NERC, the appropriate Regional Entity, or the applicable governmental authority. A caller may terminate use of the Hotline procedure at any time.
